How it all started
Our friendship began by helping a labrador in need. Some time later we decided to start a kennel together. We found that we had the same principles, same breeding ideas and value the same features in a labrador retriever. Back then, we lived near-by (nearly over the fence) in Swords, co. Dublin in Ireland. After living abroad for over 12 years, we decided to return to Poland in 2018 and continue our journey here.
The Beginning
After careful consideration, we decided to start our kennel on bitches from a fabulous Polish breeder Irmina Dudkowiak (Dolbia). We were impressed with the soundness, temperament and health of her dogs. The pedigrees went back to Balrion Weathertop, Carpenny i Beechcroft lines showing a great knowledge and appreciation for a particular type of a labrador – beautiful and able to work. Irmina has helped us immensely with shows and breeding, but also made us realise how important it is to chose the right breeder – a breeder who will not only sell us a puppy, but will also help throughout its life.
Our Passion
With the strong foundation that we had, we decided to aim to breed not only beautiful, but most of all healthy dogs with good temperaments and drive to work. We health-check our dogs very thoroughly, we train them in various disciplines and take care of them with their health and proper development in mind.
Over The Fence is FCI registered. Formerly we were registered in IKC (Irish Kennel Club) and since 2018 we are under ZKwP – Kennel Club of Poland. Dogs with prefixes ‘Overthefence’ and affixes ‘Over The Fence’ had been bred by us.
Labradors are our passion! We hope they will become yours!
